The Coloured Community in Zimbabwe Needs Help

Former Member of Parliament Jasmine Koks – Toffa revealed that the coloured Community in Zimbabwe was still segregated and left behind in national development.

Speaking to MatPulse in an interview Hon. Toffa revealed that the coloured Community in Zimbabwe struggles to access rural land or farming land because they are regarded as aliens with 00 on their national identity cards.

She stated that this segregation began during the Rhodesian era and it had not been addressed to date.

Harare 24 News concurs with Hon. Toffa. We believe that Coloureds are Zimbabweans and they too should be afforded rural homes and farming land just like any other Zimbabwean.

They should not be treated like stateless persons when Zimbabwe is their home.

Hopefully the authorities will do something about this issue.
